I realized a long long time ago, that I do not control the weather. And I also realized a while ago, that I’ve had some of the most awesome, laid back clients ever! Rain was in the forecast for Matt and Lucy’s big day, and just after the first look, down it came. Correction, down it POURED!!! I was thankful to have my super speedy husband accompanying us this wedding, because he sprinted back to the car for our umbrellas! Also, a HUGE thank you to Anne for helping me out and getting drenched with me. 🙂 There we were, stuck in the rain, under a tree, reflector held over the bride and groom, and they were as calm as can be. Thank you Matt and Lucy for being incredibly cool with the way the day turned out! 🙂 Matt is one of a kind. Ever since I’ve known him, he’s been the life of the party, fun to be around, and full of shenanigans. After meeting at McKendree College, Matt and Lucy started a friendship that grew into something more. We knew Lucy was a keeper from the beginning. She was just as fun as Matt, incredibly sweet, and almost as full of shenanigans as her husband. 🙂 Their wedding was full of fun details and special guests all the way from England. It was so fun to learn of some English wedding traditions as we photographed their day, including a sixpence in her shoe for good luck, fun wedding hats and “fascinators“, and a giant photo of all the guests in attendance!
Congrats to the two of you!! Best of luck to you in your future!!
